Love is an experience,
That’s hard to find,
And easy to misunderstand,
To some the experience of love,
Is like sliding down a rainbow,
Into a bouquet of clouds.
Or to others the experience of love,
Is like walking through a Haunted House,
Not knowing what may be behind that corner.
To others love may be just a game,
That after you learn the rules to it,
You can play it without any effort.
To some love may be as easy to find,
As finding apples on an apple tree.
To others love may be as hard to find,
As finding an apple on a strawberry bush.
Others may find that love can’t be found,
Just as you can’t find fairies and wizards in our world,
They may have to wait till love finds them,
Not the other way around.
To some describing love,
Is as easy as saying “okay I guess”,
Or “great!”
Or to some describing love,
Can be as difficult as reading a book that hasn’t been written.
You have to wait for someone to write the book before you read it,
Just as you have to experience love,
To even start to describe it.
To some love may seem easy to understand,
While they’re really misunderstanding love.
To others love may seem as confusing,
As learning algebra in first grade.
Just as you have to learn the basics of math,
Before you learn algebra.
You have to learn the basics of love,
Before you actually begin to understand love.
So if you want to be able to experience love,
Find love,
Describe love,
And understand love,
You need to know what love means to you.
Because just as two snowflakes are never the same,
No two people experience love,
And feel love the same.
How can you tell someone you love them,
If you don’t really know what love means?
And how can you tell someone,
“I love you.”
And the next minute tell someone else the same thing?
Then what does love mean?
Nothing.
Just another word,
Another worthless everyday word.
Love is too strong,
To be used everyday.
It’s only to be used,
On those days,
When you truly feel,
What you call love.
